Cathy’s healing

I’ve been thinking about Cathy Figueroa’s healing. She’s an fbim member that had a heart condition in the Milwaukee church. I guess the reason why it was so awesome to me is because of how nonchalant the atmosphere was when we prayed for her. It was after our leadership meeting last monday and somebody said we should pray for Cathy because she’s having surgery this week. To just tell the truth, I really didn’t sence any strong anointing at all, but was willing to pray anyway. Wow! God nailed her with His power. I didn’t really expect it that way…lol! It just goes to show you that you don’t need a worship team, lights, and cameras for God to meet you if you will simply act and believe! Something so uneventful can become our greatest miracle! -Pastor

Hey Pastor! You shared about Cathy’s healing on regional prayer night and I find it very encouraging to hear news like this. It just reinforces to me that God looks for those willing to obey. As a reward He allowed all of you to be a part of the supernatural. God is worthy of our praise!
One of my personal testimonies this year has been that I am the sole income for my household and I lost my job on June 11th. The devil and his lackeys really had me down on several fronts and didn’t want to let up. As a matter of fact, on the way to the first one of the 5 Churches 5 Nights meetings I received a letter letting me know that my unemployment was denied. It felt like a sucker punch, but I went to all of the meetings and I was blessed by them. Still, I had been living in disobedience and now I was reaping what was sown. As we all know there are always consequences and sinful reaping is never a fun experience.
At 5 Churches in 5 Nights you prophesied to me that the Lord said, “No more hot and cold’” and I thank God that when I was knocked down I landed on my knees. I found Good News Christian Center the weekend prior to losing my job. They had welcomed me back into God’s family and from then on I began using my “unpaid vacation” to draw near to God as it says in James 4:8. That is how I came to be at 5 Churches in 5 Nights. I didn’t pray for a job but a few times because God knew I needed one. (Matt 8:25-33) I wanted to trust Him and believe his Word. I began tithing while unemployed too because I wanted to be faithful in every area of my life.
Who among us can really be prepared when God draws near?!
On the 11th of August I received a new job! Two months to the day. I started contracting in Illinois and I was making more money with this job than the job I lost. At the end of August, I received a letter informing me that I had won my appeal for unemployment even though prior to that I was confident that I had lost the appeal. How awesome is the Lord, but He didn’t stop there.
I found that this new job prevented me from going to church, especially on Wednesday nights which is my favorite. I thanked God for the job but really wished I had a job that allowed me to go to church more often.
At the end of September I put in my two weeks notice because the Lord had provided me with another job! God gave me this new job over the phone! On the 13th of October I started working a permanent local job which allows me to attend church most of the time now. God gave me favor with both of these employers. God is a good God huh?! Think He was finished?
Nope. A week after starting my job I received a letter requesting me to come in for an interview with the Post Office for a job. I declined, but I knew that was for my benefit to see the overflow of God!
I know this is really long – maybe too long for a blog, but I just wanted to share it in order to glorify God and encourage others. We worship the God of amazing! See you all next regional meeting! Your brother in Christ ~ Brian.

Hi Pastor. I never lost faith that God would heal me. I put my complete trust in Him and went on about my business. Maybe that is why He decided to answer that prayer so nonchalantly. You have taught me to understand that what looks like a failure (the doctor’s many negative reports) is when God is actually about to show up & show out. All we have to do is believe in His word, follow His word, and He will keep His word! I am so thankful to God for having planted me in a church with such an amazing pastoral staff that is not afraid to be Spirit led! I don’t consider this my healing; this is OUR healing. Brought about by amazing faith and obedience! Love, Kathy
