Well to start… today was another awesome day at Faith Builders! The Spirit of God was in the house…lot of new faces and great expectation of what God had in store for His people, praise God! But, I must admit it was the first day that I had the twinge of excitement for the Christmas season! I suppose the anticipation of both our children’s production ” A Charlie Brown Christmas ” this week and then Christmas eve’s production “Scrooge” probably has put me in the mood! Most Christmas seaon’s, to be honest, I’m never that excited about it for one reason or the other, but I really am excited about this one! Maybe because I just know that God is up to some big things if we will believe Him! I do… how about you? What are you beliving for, this Christmas? -Pastor

I’m believing for a financial breakthrough. The devil may have stolen from us a couple weeks ago, but we will get back double what was taken from us. And my hubby will keep his head up high and continue to walk in love. And be what God wants him to be, and not allow the devil to attack him.

This will be the best Christmas we’ve ever experienced! I know it! Breakthrough is in the house!

A Charlie Brown Christmas is going to be over the top this year! We just need to pray that the snow holds off until later. Or, let’s just believe that it will miss us all together! Our kids have practiced their hearts out and are ready to get up there and minister! That’s what we teach them. Show day is their day to get up there and be the preachers!
Thank you, Pastor for allowing the kids show their gifts and talents. What a blessing!!!

Wow! I was just stopping by the site and saw this blog, I didn’t even know about it and it’s all good!
Yes, Yes, Yes Christmas is just around the corner! Beloit’s production of A Charlie Brown Christmas was spectacular! Mad props to Pastor Jay - he’s a producer in so many ways! Like Pastor Robin said, we will look forward to many more! It was so funny when Snoopy kept jumping up and down off his little house, leave it to Josh Weathers, a natural at making me giggle. How about Ms. Mikki’s little one who became so intrigued by his candle, A REAL CANDLE with a REAL FLAME! We might want to keep an eye on that! lol
But oh how beautiful it was to see the “parade of children” as they entered the stage carrying their candles. Ever since my sons were little and sang for school programs, I get teary-eyed at the sound of children singing! What a pleasure it was to see Building Blocks & Jump Start children singing together. The “Heros” were just as delighted by their enthusiasm for the love of Christ as I’m sure their parents were. What a pleasure it is to seed into the lives of children. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that God could use me in such a way. Thank you Pastors, for helping me to realize a gift God placed in me and to use it at our church, for our people, for the Glory of God!
The best is yet to come!
Let your light shine in 2009!
Merry Christmas Everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I love Christmas! It’s not about all the presents, it’s all about the atmosphere, the spirit of Christmas the celebration of the Christ child being born (even though it might not be the accurate season) but still the same - people are happier, usually nicer, let me repeat usually nicer. Regardless most are when you have a smile on your face, laughter and the joy of the LORD. People also hate this time of year because of the expectations placed upon them to max out their credit cards to buy material things that eventually break, rust, or decay. If we could look at things differently maybe we could get back to the simpler things of making memories for eachother. Linger in thought, the fresh scent of a real tree - a tree held our savior up once to take away the sins of the world. Looking at the lights at night relaxed with your favorite drink (such as hot cocoa or in my case Pepsi - haha) Jesus is the light of the world. Being with family, sharing memories, making memories - it doesn’t have to be all about the things we can’t afford it should be about the things we can afford giving of ourselves to the ones we love. I love to give as I can afford it, but this year was a little different. I was laid off on Nov 22nd. I fretted about not having any money set aside for Christmas, but I also want to get out of debt so I didn’t want to touch the credit cards. I was offered $1000 from my son Patrick, I turned him down. My husband did have some money set aside for a vacation we have planned in Jan (It’s all paid for - except spending money)Well, he offered that which was a $1000. I love to give! Now, I know it sounds like a contradiction by saying why do we fret about the things that eventually break rust and corrode but I had time to think about this after being laid off. I’ve never been laid off before and I’ve always been a 100% person with my employers. I had three projects I was going to do before I started my new job after taking 2 weeks off. Make Lefse for the family a christmas morning breakfast tradition - for the entire family, mother sister brother kids, grandchildren inlaws etc etc. It’s a job. Then clean my rat pack room downstairs. As I was cleaning my room I started pulling bag after bag after bag of things I had bought last year around christmas and after christmas. I couldn’t believe I forgot about all this stuff!!! I heaped the bags in my husbands what I call his fart den so I could show it to him when he got home from work. When he saw it he asked me where I got the money for it and I lifted my hand and said I swear (even though you shouldn’t) it was all in my room. Even the barbie style barbie head my granddaughter had just put on her christmas wish list!!! Another praise report, I am a tither and a giver. I don’t care if I make $1 or $1000 the LORD always gets his share. My lay off turned out to be a vacation. I have a new job (in 1 week after being laid off), a promotion, middle management, no holidays, no weekends etc etc. It would take hours and hours to tell you the hand of GOD in my life. Praisin HIM 4 EVER!!!!!!

Praise God! Oh, the power of prayer! I prayed and fasted for Charlie Brown. When I heard the snow was coming I was concerned that we may have to cancel the show. Look what God did!! He held it off for us until after midnight!!! The kids did such an awesome job. I loved when Linus (Enoch) quoted the Christmas story (from memory!) and everyone cheered. Janet was in tears. Lucy (Princess) played her part with such attitude. She is a natural born actress. And she just turned 7!!! And Charlie Brown (Christian) was played to perfection. It was kind of a bitter sweet night for him. It was his last day in Faith Kidz. He’s graduated out. Pastor Kevin and Rachel, get ready, you’ve got a future leader there! And then there’s the addition of Franklin (Jerrell) this year. That young man (and his brother) have a real gift for improv! 90% of his lines he came up with during rehersal.
So many people were involved in making Thursday a great night. They all deserve credit. Felecia, Anthony & Linda, Selena, Aldia, Sonia, Mary, Vanessa & Steve, Maggie, Angel, Marie, Liduvina, Joel, Pastor Ruben, all the Moms and Dads, and of course, the wonderful kids.
A great big thank you also to our senior pastors, Pastor Pruitt and Pastor Robin. Your love and support through this project as well as over the last 8 or 9 years means the world to us.
If there is anyone I missed I truly apologize. So many people, so little time. You contribution is no less important!
I wish I could have seen the Beloit version but schedules prevent us from getting there on a weekday. We’re glad to hear that it went so well. Congradulations!
A very blessed Christmas to all! Amen!

CHALLENGE ALERT CHALLENGE ALERT. How about a Merry Christmas to the one who deserves it above all else. What can we do for the LORD this year……..2009? How about fixin up the house, the place we go every Weds & Sunday to gather in HIS NAME? Remember the song “The Roof…The Roof… The Roof is on Fire? Well, how about fixin that roof. Tax time is fast approaching how about seeking the LORD on what we can give Pastor to fix it. He shouldn’t have to ask us we need to step up and take ownership of our Father’s house literally. So, I’ll be the first to make that committment to set aside $$$$ out of our tax refund. Hey what better way to spend it???? The Roof The Roof The Roof needs fixin’. Sister Church in Milwaukee….Can ya help a sista’ out? Love you Family of Faith builders International. Let’s make Pastor smile with that Roof repair.
22. December 2008 at 22:07
I’m with you!! I’m believing God for a new roof. who’s taking charge of the roof fund so we can start donating already! For those who don’t get tax refunds it’s a good deduction if they get it in before the new year!! :o)

Just wanted to live this with you guys. I’ve been coming to Faith Builders for a month now currently in transition from the Ministry that I attend now. I have been blessed every time the doors are open I love everything from the greeters at the door, the users, Praise and Worship is Sizzling hot and filled with Gods glory. I find myself singing alot of these songs at work and to me that’s what praise and worship is about after you leave the building having the praises of God in your heart and them team makes it so easy to enter into God’s presences. And the word is so real and rich I look forward coming to every event that the ministry is having. May God Bless and see you all when the doors open!!!

Adding to the discussion of Beloit’s roof repair:
Get some of that tar under your feet and watch how God will use the work of your HANDS to BLESS your SOCKS OFF!!!!
If you can’t plant a financial seed, GIVE your TIME and your FAITHFULNESS! Start NOW! Find a ministry and get “plugged in”. When the roof repair begins, go to ANOTHER LEVEL, on the roof that is!
He’s done it for me and Theron - He’ll do the same for you. God is no respecter of person.
~Blessings
