What’s Up With These Earthquakes?

So what’s up with all these earthquakes as of late? Is it just a crazy coincidence or is God trying to say something! I believe that God is desperately trying to speak to us. Jesus said that in the last days there would be an increase of earthquakes and out of control weather. So I think we can determine that we are without a doubt living in the last days. But there is something else I feel God is trying to convey to us that is not something of destruction, but one of hope.

The Bible says to us in the book of revelation that when the saints pray, their prayer is retrieved by the angels of God in a golden sensor which is then taken to heaven before God. At that point God receives the prayers of the saints and slams the sensor back down to the earth where there is thunderings, lightings and EARTHQUAKES! I truly believe that God is answering our prayers, that thousands of churches across the world began praying at the beginning of 2010. And the earth is reacting to that supernatural pull! What about the time that Peter was locked in prison and the saints began to pray and as a result of their prayer, God responded with an earthquake and an angel to set Peter free…praise God!! Don’t be afraid, God is on the move and a mighty shaking of the spirit is about to happen! First the natural than the spiritual!

An earthquake happens when plates far beneath the earth’s surface begin to SHIFT! And I believe that, that is what is taking place in the spirit…something is SHIFTING! Something so powerful that the earth is literally reacting to it! So again be not afraid God is preparing us for a tremendous breakthrough! Are you ready? I am!!!!

ELEVATE 2010

I’m so looking forward to an amazing year in 2010. To be honest, I can’t remember a time I’ve been this excited. It’s a brand new year in a brand new decade that has tremendous promise and opportunity. At the close of 2009 I began to ask the Lord about 2010 and what He wanted it to look like. And I heard the Lord simply tell me that He was taking Faith Builders to the next level! Obviously it wasn’t a deep word,  because that it something most churches want anyway. But, I really heard the Lord! The next word that came in my spirit was the word ELEVATE! And then He just began to flood my heart with His vision for Faith Builders in this new year and decade. He gave me 17 images of how our church looks to Him. Not necessarily how it looks today but how He sees it.

And if you are interested and hearing those 17 points please click the “contact us” button @ faithbuilders.cc and tell us you would like to get the Elevation message from 1/11/10 and we will mail that to you asap! Or you could also click the “Elevate 2010″ button on our home page to view the 17 points for the church we see for 2010.

By the way, this word flows right into our mission statement so beautifully “Building people’s faith to go their farthest and to reach the harvest!” How do we do that? By elevating their faith…I love it!So our central theme for FBIM this year will be “We are going to elevate our purpose, elevate our ministry, elevate our future and elevate your life!” Our anchor scripture will be Col.3:2 “Set your mind on things above (elevate your thinking by renew your mind) and not on things on the earth.” This year will be known as the year of elevation for Faith Builders! So get prepared as we start chasin’ elevation with revelation in 2010! I can’t wait to see the vision come alive.

Love you all

Faith Builders Wins Nearly 2,000 To Christ

All I can say in starting this blog is, thank you Jesus, for the tremendous turn out and the souls saved in just 2 weekends of Heart Break Hotel! It was AWESOME! Heart Break Hotel is a 2 hr. 30 min. production of look a like artists, both secular and Christian! It was written by Pastor Steve Munsey from Indiana as a small illustrated sermon, that now has grown into this huge production with a full lazer light show, smoke, pyrotechs, video presentations, booming pa system, motorcycles, pop corn and door prizes! Why do we do this you ask? Trying to fulfill the Great Comission that states…”go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel…” We’ve had so much “church” until we can no longer remember, being that person, who was lost and in need of a Savior! So our church made the decision that we weren’t going to be that kind of church! We are going to reach out to people, right where they are! People need for us to speak to them in their language! And for two and half hours in 5 performances we did just that!

In Beloit we had 2 performance that were standing room only! The first night we could hardly get the people down to the altar for prayer after the performance because there were so many! Praise God! Second night was just about the same! In Milwaukee we had 3 performance. The first 2 nights were once again standing room only with so many people at the altar they had to stand in the isles because they couldn’t make it down! The last night we laid down more chairs, all the way up to the stage, you couldn’t move in there lol! The performance was once again standing room only with 200 watching in the foyer and another 200 plus turned away! When we gave the altar call over 80% raised their hands to receive Christ! It was one of the most touching things I’ve ever seen!

Jesus said;”Do not say 4 more months and then comes the harvest but, look again for the fields are already white unto harvest!” This nation is ready to hear the Gospel if we will get out of our religious boxes and compel them! Let’s win souls for Jesus! Love you FBIM for all your hard work and dedication!!!!

Praying For America

Ever since the 2004 elections you could see the extremes on the right and on the left of the political system! Personally, I have never seen such polarization, ever, in my life time. The opinions are so vast that you can feel a tearing in the very fabric of American ideologies. I have made it very clear that I am not called to be a political man, but a spiritual man! And I will always stake claim to that. But I feel I must at least let it be known what my position is as it relates to our nation. We were founded as one nation under God! Not two or three nations but one! United, is to always be our position..united we stand, divided we fall! And not too mention that the purpose of this nation and what makes her great, is that we are to be under God! Under ( submitted to )  God and His ways! My great concern is that we have and are allowing, other nations and their gods to control America! With their values and opinions rather then the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob…the God of the Bible! Please hear my heart, while this country is slipping into moral decay like quick sand, the church is slipping into a spiritual slumber in record numbers! Maybe it’s not a slumber at all, maybe we are in the same moral decay as the world and we don’t have the guts to stand up to it! Why? Because we would be exposed for who we really are! Or possibly are agenda is simply not a Biblical one. We are more interested in what we can get from a government that has failed us rather than a King who has never failed us! I’m personally opposed to big government! But maybe not for the reasons you would think! I’m opposed to any system that becomes a SAVIOR when man is involved! The Bible says there is a way that seems right to a man, but the way there in is DEATH! Listen, government is not the answer…PRAYER is!!! More government control in the wrong hands could lead to religious control. I will die before I will allow my religious freedom to be taken away from me and our ministry! Jesus must be what we count as first place in our daily lives, our decisions, our families, our finances, our communities and our political obligation as Believers! Please PRAY for America…pray that she remains the greatest nation on the Earth! And pray that God will favor her during this very difficult season! I love you all!

Win One

I truly believe that most Christians are not fulfilled in life because of one very important reason! Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world of such hopelessness! We have seen a cultural shift with in the church in the last 10-15 years! Most of it has been good but, there has also been a negative impact as well! I believe in our desire to become progressive we have in some ways thrown the baby out with the bath water! For example in most progressive churches we have “hired” out almost everything taking out the function and creativity of the members of the local church. Thus creating a culture of hirelings and spiritually lazy and dependent members! The word of God reminds us that we are a many member-ed body and that we are to work together until every joint supplies and causes growth of the body! In our quest for excellence and organization we should not forsake the tried and true system of God’s Kingdom on the earth! The same is true as it relates to evangelism…everybody winning somebody…Win one! Most churches today have made their people dependent on their programs to win people to Christ. Nothing wrong with a church who has organization in place to preach the gospel but, when it takes it out of the hands of God’s people and their responsibility to share the love of Jesus with others, than that’s going to far! Every Christian most share the mandate of the Great Commission!!! Our goal should be I’m going to WIN ONE…at least one at a time! Let’s prepare our hearts with prayer and fasting as we move into a tremendous season of harvest! I declare in the magnificent name of Jesus that we will double our church in 6mo. filled with newly saved believers…O YEAH!

Tribute to Michael Jackson

I was very sad and shocked to hear that Michael Jackson had died! My feelings on the news when I heard it, were very mixed! I suppose because I had been “taught” that anyone in the secular realm should not be celebrated, therefore why should I be feeling sad?! But, I could not help but be saddened by the short lived yet extremely influencial life of MJ! We grew up with him! His music, singing and dancing touched the world and changed the industry forever! Also, we put on a huge production in our churches, called Heartbreak Hotel, that features MJ as the staring role! My son plays the part of MJ and dances just like him…so I supposed that makes him (MJ)  just a little closer to me! Either way, he was an artistic genious that touched millions of lives and he will be missed! Our hearts and prayers go out to his children and family! In the words of Michael Jackson…The man in the mirror needs to change his ways…gonna make that CHANGE! Please don’t wait until it’s too late…

Assignments vs. Mandates

Recently the Lord spoke to me concerning “assignments and mandates.” I was on my deck about 2 weeks ago enjoying a cool beverage and just thinking about how incredibly blessed I am. I then started to think about the wonderful success that Danny Gokey has had through A.I. How his life will never be the same again! I was just talking to the Lord about it and I said; ” Lord, there’ such a mandate on his life!” After saying this I was reminded of a time, in my life, that was so painful and frustrating! I was so filled with hope for something to work out, but it just would not work, no matter what I tried! I then wanted out of that particular task, because I could not bear to be in such a place of “stretching” and embarrassment! But I knew in my heart that I couldn’t just walk away from it! I then began to think where I was at in my life today and how, though there has been tough moments, it has been the most fulfilling and quite frankly, easiest thing I have ever done! The Lord spoke at that moment and said…the assignment is as much my will as the mandate! The difference between an assignment and the mandate is that an assignment changes YOU while a mandate changes OTHERS! I realized that even though the painful experince was tough, it was very much the will of God for my life. Why? It was designed to change me so that I could get to my mandate, in order to change others! You may be in a tough time in your life, but don’t try to get out of it…it’s all apart of your story, to make you better for where God’s taking you! The quicker you realize that, the quicker you’ll be on your way to your mandate!!!

The Love of God

It’s so simple, yet a mystery! What am I talking about? The love of God! The word of God is clear…”Nothing can separate us from the love of God!” This ought to make you shout, that you can never be removed from God’s eternal, unrelenting, overcoming, overwhelming LOVE! You can’t earn it, you can’t purchase it, you can’t be good enough to get it! You just receive it!!!! WOW! His love the bible says is EVERLASTING! Today, receive His amazing love and watch worry and fear go away!

Learning the success of walking with God!

Most will never understand what it means, to truly,  walk with God! Certainly people that have committed to Christ and have relationship with him, but I’m not speaking of people’s salvation or judging their ability to hear his voice or know His ways! I’m talking about the kind of walk with Him that you get so close to Him that you lose your identity and take on His! Just as John the Baptist did when he said; ” I must decrease and he must increase!” Jesus said that in order to follow Him we must deny ourselves and pick up our cross… Walking with God successfully, is not defined by how much we have but by our surrender to Him and to His ways! David desired to build God a house but it was not what God required of Him! What God wanted and what David wanted were two very different things! The same is true for you and me. I wonder how much we’re doing now “for Him” that really, He’s never required of us. Our walk should not hinge on our “success.” Jesus said;”Many in that day will say Lord, Lord did we not do many things in your name…” These that did much were not rewarded on their successes but rather on their walk(s) with God! Another true mark of someone who really walks with God is persecution! It’s impossible to be close with the Father and not come under intense surveillance from those around you! Jesus said, that if we are persecuted great is our reward in heaven! Again our successes were not rewarded, but our walk with God…
