Congratulations Danny Gokey On Top 3

What a tremendous ride Danny has been on! We’ve watched as our praise and worship leader of 8 years went from a being a regular guy to a house hold name overnight! We always knew that Danny was special, but none of us could have predicted what would happen to him on American Idol! His life will never be the same! Remember destiny always has many twists and turns, but will always land you in just the right place. American Idol was such a blessing for Danny to excel in his gifting, but does not have the final say for his life! I want to especially thank our church family, in both locations, for their support and prayers for Danny and his family during this time! You are the greatest church in America! Please continue, because quite literally, the best is yet to come! Also, I want to say thanks from our church family, to the thousands of Danny fans  for keeping him in the competition and sending such wonderful words of encouragement to us and Danny! Get ready for the release of his album…you know it’s going to be HOT!

Danny Gokey Day

Well Danny Gokey Day was such an awesome day for the city of Milwaukee & of course our church. Danny was very excited to be back at home with friends & family. He told me several times how good it was to be at Faith Builders! He asked me to let you know how much he misses you all. What an incredible time we had with him. The church was jam packed by 9:30am, Danny finally arrived at 10:20am. I had just recieved a phone call from Mancow, the number one radio station in the nation, requesting to interview Danny. We worked it out with the producer of Idol & made it happen. Pastor Steve Munsey told Mancow that Danny wouldn’t go on the show unless he mentioned Faith Builders & Jeff Pruitt at least two times in the interview. Pretty cool! Danny graced the stage & sang three songs & gave major props to the ministry, what a blessing! Also our praise & worship team along with Jamar Rogers performed live on Fox6. That was awesome! Danny later went to Summerfest for his first concert, where 26,000 to 28,000 fans were waiting for him. It was incredible! Then he went to Miller Park to sing the National Anthem before 40,000 people. I’m very proud of Danny, & I’m very proud of our church for always believing in people, small or great! Robin & I love you all very much.

Faith Vision Conference Success

I just have to say that this year’s conference was, without doubt, our greatest conference yet! Jesse Duplantis and Bill Winston were absolutely on point with the word they brought! To be honest, it was the best I have ever heard from them. Without question timely and prophetic! Jesse preached “Who’s in your boat” and Bill preached “Manifesting the sons of God” WOW got to get the c.d.’s! We had nearly 80 pastors and ministers that showed from all over the region, out of state and 1 from Africa who is overseer of over 400 churches in Uganda! The ministers were so blessed and encouraged. Robin and I were as well! I also need to give honor where honor is due…I was so blessed by the members of our church that worked so hard putting on a top notch conference as they did! We have the sweetest, most serving, not too mention, hardest working people in the world! Robin and I are blessed to pastor such outstanding and precious people as you. You did your thing! Thanks to all the Beloit church for coming and helping make this conference a success! Love ya

Danny makes it to the top 4 on Idol

What an incredible turn of events last night on Idol! Seacrest set up the tension pretty good as he separated the contestants into two groups…Danny and Allison on one side and Kris and Matt on the other, leaving Adam last. Seacrest then asks Adam what side he belongs on and he picks Danny’s side only to be removed to the other group placing him in the bottom 3! WOW! No question Adam Lambert is Danny’s number one rival in the competion. So to see him in the bottom 3 was a shock! We showed it live last night @ Faith Builders in Beloit, channel 17 news out Rockford and Madison were there and captured our church going wild when they saw Adam in the bottom 3…it was deafening in the house with all the cheering to say the least! This means everyone has been in the bottom 3 except Danny! Keep voting and keep praying for Danny…putting him in the top 3 next week will mean that he gets to come home and Milwaukee will throw him a parade and he will quite possibly be at the church to sing! I spoke with him last night and he is preparring to be the next American Idol for the glory of God! All he ask for is our prayer! Go Danny!

Faith Vision Conference Anticipation/Danny’s Performance Tuesday Night

Pretty excited about this year’s conference! We have incredible guests, Dr. Jesse Duplantis and Pastor Bill Winston (see our home page for details), I’ll be kicking things off Sunday May 3rd. in both the 11a and 1:30p services, with a powerful word just for the conference! Also special music by Jamar Rogers! It’s going to be amazing!!! We have ministers coming from all over the region and from out of state. We know they will be blessed. By the way, no worries about Tuesday night Bill Winston/conflict with Danny performing on A.I. We are going to get Pastor Winston up to preach the word early and be done by about 8:15p. I will dismiss the crowd and we will show A.I. on the big screens by DVR…that way everyone who wants to can stay, watch and vote! Make sure to come to the conference ready and expecting, God’s going to meet us in a BIG way!

Easter Weekend Praise Report

What can I say except, glory to God, for such an awesome Easter Weekend! God absolutely exceeded our goals for our first Saturday night service in Beloit and our first Sunday morning service in Milwaukee. All three services were jammed packed with people who were excited to celebrate Christ’s resurrection with us! Nearly 3,000 were in attendance and over 500 people received Jesus as the Lord of their lives! Wow! It’s a time for us as a church to reach the harvest because the harvest is ripe!

Awesome changes at Faith Builders

As everyone knows, who attend Faith Builders, our attendance every week is growing as well as the expectation of the people! God is sending in those who are hungry for His presence and His word! As you know we have altered our service times to tailor fit the needs of both our churches ( Beloit and Milwaukee ). Beloit has a mandate to go after souls in a radical way. We will be going to Saturday services starting April 11th @6pm. It was 100% agreement by all pastors, elders and leaders. The church is very excited to say the least and have been telling thier friends and family about it! Also the Milwaukee church has doubled again in this last year…our 1:30pm. service is packed to the max every service. So we will be adding another service on sundays to accomadate the crowds. It will be our first morning service in 7 yrs. @ 11am. starting april 12 Easter sunday. Praise God! We also have brand new youth pastors in the Beloit church, Tiawan and Carolyn Robinson. They were youth pastors in another church for many years and got led them to FBIM about a year ago…our young people are super excited about it! love you all get ready for these awesome changes!

It’s a new season

Well, spring has finally arrived! It’s nice to begin to see the weather change and the snow melting away! People seem to be just a little more cheerful during the spring season. Spring also marks a new beginning, a letting go of the old and embracing the new! I really felt on this blog  that i needed to challenge people just let go of your past and embrace the wonderful future that God has for you. If there are people out there that have hurt you or spoken about you in judgement …. just forgive them and move on! Jesus said;” forgive, that you may be forgiven!” If you really want to get on with your life and fulfill your destiny you can’t allow others to hold you back because of their words or deeds! Let’s allow this spring to be a new season  for all of our lives and do what the old song says; “Let go and let God!” Love you Pastor

Danny makes the next round!

There seems to be no doubt, as to who America (not to mention) our church loves, and wants to see victorious as the next American Idol! Danny was absolutely sensational singing Michael Jackson’s hit “PYT!” And for us that know him he can dance LOL! I loved what the judges had to say, but especially Kara…I think she nailed it when she said that Danny has so much joy when he sings! We know that the joy of the Lord is our strength! And that “joy” which is Christ in him comes forth as he sings. But that “joy” has also become the very foundational strength that has kept Danny during the most painful time of his life! It reminds me of the song that Danny and our praise team sang so many times “This joy that I have, the world didn’t give it to me…the world didn’t give it, so the world can’t take it away!” No matter what trials come our way Jesus offers us joy in the midst of our most painful seasons! I believe that is a part of the message that Danny brings to the nation…there will be a tomorrow and you will smile again! Pastor
